Management Consultant
|
For Clients and Consultants, we can act as Project Management
Consultant. Our services are included but not limited as follows.
Evaluate / Prepare Construction Programme.
Evaluate / Prepare Progress updating / Monitoring.
Evaluate / Prepare Progress reports.
Evaluate / Prepare Claims.
1. Evaluate / Prepare Construction Programme :
The method we adopt to check the Construction Programme may be
divided into two stages:
A - Initial Checking :
This stage is done on the hard copy of the construction Porgramme to
be sure that the programme was based on reasonable and practical
proposal assumptions. The following points are checked during this
stage:
1. Check the quantities of each activity and be sure that the
total quantities of each operation are equal to the contract BOQ
quantities.
2. Check the duration of each activity to be sure that the
outputs used by the contractor are practical and that the contractor
does not use low outputs in critical areas.
3. Check the general sequence of work and be sure that the
project will run smoothly.
4. Be sure that the program allows enough time for all
preparative and initial activities such as obtain NOC's form service
authorities, locate and protect existing services, submission and
approval of concrete and asphalt mix designs, recruiting of long
delivery materials and laboratory testing.
5. Check the resource histogram in general.
B - Detailed checking :
If the Programme meets the above-mentioned points, a further
detailed checking will be carried out by computer using a backup
copy of construction program. The detailed checking includes but not
limited to the following:
1. Analyze the critical path(s) of the program. This is done
by Checking the predecessor and successor of each critical activity
to be sure that the links are logic and practical and represent the
site situation.
2. Be sure that there are no dummies or hidden activities
introduced to make some activities critical.
3. Be sure that all key dates, constrains and milestones of
the program have physical, logical or practical meanings and not
introduced to "make" a critical path.
4. Check whether there is any hidden critical activity (i.e.
activities with small floats) which may become critical any time.
5. If the critical path was acceptable, the non-critical
activities will then be checked to assure that all links and lags
are logic and practical.
6. Check the resource allocation of each activity. This is
important to be sure that resources histograms and cash flow are
derived from the program itself and represent the actual site
requirements.
7. Check the sequence of major operations, to be sure that
the outputs allowed in the program are within the capacity of the
allocated resources.
2. Evaluate / Prepare Progress updating / Monitoring :
Our Engineers will study the contract and visit the site as per
the client/consultants requirement to obtain the actual data
required to Evaluate/Prepare the updated Programme.
3. Evaluate / Prepare Progress Report :
By tracking the Project periodically, we evaluate/prepare
different types of reports and suggestion. Reports could be
comprised of current/last month report, resource over allocation,
new critical path, what is controlled and what to be controlled,
what if analysis, look ahead programme etc.
4. Evaluate / Prepare Claims :
Project which run without variation does not exist on earth,
variations may lead to claims.
After visiting the sites, going through the factual data, contract
conditions & specification, we prepare/evaluate the claims to be
sure that the claims are Justified.
